Congratulations this month go out to Dee (OhioLink) and ad.Kay (AfterDark). Searching for articles can be a daunting task for patrons when they are presented with so many options like library databases and internet sites. Both Dee and ad.kay assisted their patrons in navigating through a variety of authoritative resources in searching for articles and show that teaching is also an important role of the library profession.
Dee’s explanation of the database to the patron was excellent. She walked the patron through the search process step by step making sure the patron understood how the database functioned and how to obtain optimum results of the topic she was searching for.
ad.kay assisted a patron in locating articles and information for a difficult topic. She built an excellent rapport with the patron and kept the patron informed on how the session was going. She used several reliable resources that fit the patron’s needs.
