Justice for all. It's a simple notion. Library customers who need to access our system of laws should be able to. Even if they can't afford a lawyer. Legal aid societies and pro bono lawyers fulfill this societal obligation.
The OLC has partnered with the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation to offer education to library staff so they in turn can help library customers obtain current and accurate legal information.
Ohio Dominican University (ODU) in Columbus will be hosting a joint KnowItNow24x7/KnowItNow Academic training session on Tuesday, August 17, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm. Limited seating (up to 15) is available for libraries who would like to send staff members who need training or would like a refresher on the SparkRef software and virtual reference procedures. KnowItNow24x7 is Ohio's statewide virtual reference service; and KnowItNow Academic, its affiliated service, provides online reference assistance to OhioLINK institutions.
