This message is a reminder that June 1, 2010, will be the first day of the consolidated subject queues. All KnowItNow24x7 librarians which staff one of the following queues will begin to receive questions on all topics on that day:
- General Questions
- Business, Finance, and Labor Inforamtion
- Federal Government Information
- Foreign Languages and Non-English Literature
- Genealogy
- History, Geography, and Travel
- Literature, Theater, and Movies
- Music, Art, and Architecture
- Reading Recommendations
- Science, Math, Cooking, and Crafts
- Social Sciences, Politics, Religion, Education, Sports
Local queues will not be affected by this change. They have always staffed a "general reference" queue. The Cleveland Law Library, United Way (Cuyahoga County), and CCPL's Job and Career queue will all only be available to librarians. Patrons will not be able to choose any of these from knowitnow.org
Additionally, all those patrons choosing "University/College/Trade School" as their Grade Level will automatically be assisted by a KnowItNow Academic librarian when they are scheduled to be staffing the service.
For previous announcements on this change, go to the KnowItNow24x7 Updates and look for those with the title beginning "Subject Queue Consolidation:".
