In preparation for the upcoming subject queue consolidation, the primary manuals for KnowItNow24x7 have been updated, several new resources have been added, and a couple documents deserve re-emphasizing. This update is designed to call attention to these:

Remember that for email follow-ups, librarians can use either their own official library email or the @knowitnow.org email address they were assigned. If librarians use their official library email (e.g., @oplin.org, @euclidlibrary.org, @cpl.org, etc., etc.), it is recommended that they alert the patron within the chat that a follow-up will be coming from that email address. Chatting with KnowItNow24x7 and then receiving an email from a specific library has the potential to confuse patrons and/or have the email blocked. A simple "heads-up" to the patron should alleviate this.
Finally, the Pathfinder Project is ready for any KIN24x7 librarian to add to or edit. Changes and edits will be reviewed, but permission is not required to either create new pathfinders or add to exisiting ones. The KnowItNow24x7 Pathfinder Manual has step-by-step instructions for accomplishing this, and no special coding skills are required with the editor built into the Provider site.
