There have been reports of the Spark co-browser "freezing" during chats with customers. If this happens and the chat is still active:

  1. Open your regular Internet browser (IE, Firefox, etc.).
  2. Search for appropriate resources using that browser.
  3. Copy and paste web addresses directly into the chat window. Links
sent this way will show up as live links for the patron, but they will
have to click on them to open them.

This procedure will allow you to continue providing service when the co-browser is unavailable.

In light of the intermittent and arbitrary nature of the Co-Browser "freeze," another option is to avoid the Co-browser entirely and do all searching through your own browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) from the beginning. This will allow you to bypass the problem entirely until a solution can be shared. Some agents have used this procedure for some time as an alternative to the Co-Browser, not simply as a work-around.
