In light of continuing issues with the Spark Co-Browser, I would like to offer the following suggestions. The Co-Browser is still being worked on by the developer. There were freezing problems, and we've suggested that KIN24x7 librarians simply use their own browser and cut-and-paste links directly into the chat. For previous postings on this issue, please click here and here.

Since agents are encouraged to use their own browser, bookmarking the most important sites you use for your sessions in your own browser's bookmarks is one option.

Additionally, the URLs and access information for OPLIN, INFOhio, and OhioLINK are here. If you haven't signed up for an account for the Provider site, simply click on Create New Account under User Login. Your account will be activated as soon as notification is received that you signed up.

Another option is to add web site links as Canned Messages to your Spark client. You can create new canned messages by clicking Macros on the Spark Client. See Section 19 of the Training & Reference Manual for more on macros and canned messages. All you would need to do is add a name for the canned message and include the complete URL (i.e., with http://....) as the message itself. This was suggested to me by another statewide coordinator.

Other workarounds may be posted as Comments to this posting.
