Below are the entries for a new logo for KnowItNow24x7. Thank you to the four graphic designers and institutions that submitted them. The work that went into each submission is greatly appreciated, and each design will be considered before making a final decision and working with the winning designer. Those interested may view the original announcement and download the KnowItNow24x7 Logo Redesign/Rebranding Project Prospectus here.
The entries were submitted by:
- Lisa Bond at Worthington Libraries
- Kristin Klatka at Euclid Public Library
- Monica Moribito at Cleveland Public Library
- Marlene Rodgers at Cuyahoga County Public Library
The attributions of the logos below have been left off to avoid predisposing anyone based on affiliation. Alternate submitted versions of numbers three and four below are available by clicking the images. (Please note that the HomeworkNow and ReadThisNow names (as displayed in the fourth submission's variants) will not be used in the consolidated service, but these images are provided to give an idea of different graphics and color schemes.)
Please take a look at them all and feel free to post comments or critiques on this page or to send them to support@knowitnow.org. We will be taking comments through November 22. The new logo will be an integral part of the new consolidated KnowItNow24x7 service which will be implemented in December or early January.

I immediately liked the third submission best. The graphic and message are clear, and it seems adaptable to various sizes and page placements.

I like the second logo submission the best, followed by the first submission, if we are allowed to give those kind of opinions.

Great job on the selection of logos--I like the second logo ... the best. However, I think it needs a bit of tweaking. The green and lavender have the potential of causing problems in printing. I know from the yellow in our logo that I send about 1/4 of our stuff back for reprinting. I recommend an adjustment to the letter spacing in KnowItNow and changing the “I” to a thinner font as it draws too much attention to it right now. At first glance it could be perceived as Knowl.

Hi,
I really like submission #3, but I would like to see it inside the logo (as alternate font design) in submission #1. Would that be kosher? I also liked the apple and commencement hat ideas instead of a question mark, even though the ultimate choice will need to be a consolidated message.
I thought submission #4 had too many things going on somehow. Maybe it had to do with color choices.
Thanks, Cheryl

I like the third submission since it is clear, simple, and direct, but stylish.
#2 and 4 seem a little too busy.
