Two new institutions are joining the KnowItNow24x7 team this month. Librarians will be seeing both logged into SparkRef very soon.
Canal Fulton Public Library will be staffing a local queue and also contributing back to the statewide service by answering leave-a-message emails. Cheryl Mullins and Andrew Gunsch were instrumental in setting up the recent KIN24x7 training day at CFPL, and the library's participation is welcomed.
Chancellor University (CU), based in Cleveland, will also be participating by staffing a local queue and plans to monitor the live statewide service as their contribution back to KIN24x7. Since their students will most likely not only be using the service when Chancellor staff are online, KIN24x7 librarians may receive questions from those students as well. To assist KIN24x7 librarians in providing the best possible service, Richard Brhel (Director, Library Resource Center at CU) has graciously set up an EZProxy service for KIN24x7 librarians, allowing access to proprietary databases at CU (specifically Hoover's, Credo Reference, New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal). Access information has been posted in Database Access Information at the Provider site. KIN24x7 librarians are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with Chancellor's web site and databases in preparation for serving these students.
