Using the Spark Client

startup

The new Sparkref client starts automatically when I start my machine (Windows XP). I can't remember if the old client did this, but it's annoying. I checked in my startup folder and don't see the program listed. Is there an easy way to stop this from happening?

Common Problems with SparkRef

I don't see any resolution codes when I end a call

  • Make sure you are using SparkRef
  • Try deleting your SparkRef profile located at:
    • Windows
      c:\documents and settings\login name\Spark
    • Mac
      Open your finder, it should be in your home directory

Common Problems with Spark

I complete a call but I don't get any resolution codes. All I see is a grey box.
Try the following:
  1. Make sure that you are running Java version 6.
  2. Try deleting the Spark profile located in c:\Documents and Settings\username\Spark. Where username is the name that you used when you logged into Windows.
  • Make sure your firewall allows outgoing traffic to port 9090
    I'd like to change my initial response
